About Us
While Northland Auto & Marine Inc. was started in 2007 here in Humboldt by Jim Flick, it was the twenty two years of Automotive and Marine experience that helped put this company together. Jim Started in a Chevrolet Buick store in 1984, back when there was a pretty good selection of new cars that cost less than ten grand. Now Jim says "it is one of our greatest challenges to find good clean dependable cars that we can be proud to sell for less than ten grand."
Jim has always been in the car business while entering in a partnership with a marina and new and used boats sales venture back in the early 90's. Jim states that while in today's economy it would be pretty tough to make a living just on the boating business in Humboldt, Iowa, but it allows him to stay close to his favorite hobby and slowly building back a strong marine presence for better times down the road.
Jim & Jennifer and their two boys have lived in Humboldt since 2004 and if you haven't met them before they invite you to stop in introduce yourself. Jim's in the store most days taking care of sales and Jennifer is in every morning taking care of the bookkeeping duties.
